You are feeling for a small amount of space in front of your toes, about a centimetre or so. If your toes touch the end, they are almost certainly too small as most styles will not stretch in the length at all. If you are only lightly brushing the end slightly, please feel free to give us a call and we can help you determine if you need to go up a size.

Our open toe sandals have some flexibility in their sizing. It is okay to be standing on the stitching around the sole, as long as you can’t feel the edges of the sole when you walk, they will be okay. The stitching may wear away over time, this won’t cause any structural damage to your sandals.

A good fit around the ankle is also ideal. A small amount of movement in the ankle may dissipate with time, though you still want to feel held. You will also find the buckles and laces will be able to be tightened further as the leather moulds to your feet.

In terms of width, our leather has a significant amount of ease if needed. They will stretch in the width as much as needed when there is pressure, warmth and moisture. If you have enough space, they will not give as there is no pressure. If you find they feel a little too big in the width, but they are the right length, our Wool Insoles can help take up some of the extra space.
